Sant'Agnello is just 1 km from Sorrento and the territory
is mainly made of tuff produced by volcanic eruptions. The
beach of Marinella is the main resource: it is small but comfortable
and beautiful. A charming spot is Punta Sant’Elia, with
a beautiful famous panorama on the Gulf
of Salerno and the
small isles of Li Galli.
This place is a wonderful natural
paradise that can be reached walking along a beautiful path
immersed in a rich Mediterranean bush. Among the most interesting
monuments there is the church dedicated to saints Prisco
and Agnello and Cocumella hotel, created in an ancient Jesuit
monastery in 1637. In September there is a nice festival dedicated
to the typical local agricultural products. During the festival,
visitors can taste and buy local products, and have information
about them. |
