Castellammare di Stabia is one of the most populated towns
of Campania and it is very famous thanks to the thermal baths
and the archaeological excavations of Stabiae.
Thermal baths of Castellammare di Stabia include 28 different
kinds of mineral water: sulphurous water, calcic waters, etc.
The ancient town of Stabiae was an important thermal bath
used by Roman noblemen and was buried by eruption of Vesuvius
in 79 a. C..
The excavations of Stabiae are not as famous as those of Pompeii and Ercolano, but they are very interesting, thanks to the
finding of three elegant villas and thermal baths
